Job summary

Octane Recruitment is seeking a Roadside Technician (field based) to deliver roadside assistance across a national network. The role is based in Shepherds Bush with a competitive salary, overtime and bonus opportunities and potential for progression.

You will attend breakdowns, perform mechanical and electrical roadside repairs, use diagnostic tools, and provide temporary solutions to keep members mobile. A UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance and repair (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ, or equivalent)
• Minimum 2-year post-qualification hands-on experience with vehicles in workshop or mobile role
• Full UK driving licence with max 6 points, no bans
• Customer-focused approach

Responsibilities

• Attend roadside breakdowns and assess faults quickly and accurately
• Carry out mechanical and electrical roadside repairs including battery changes and wheel changes
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and determine repair options
• Provide temporary solutions to keep members mobile
• Advise members on next steps, including recovery if needed
• Work safely and efficiently in varied environments and conditions

Job description

Roadside Technician (Field based) providing roadside assistance for a national breakdown company with over 15 million members. Great salary, benefits, overtime and bonus opportunities.

Must have right to work in the UK status.

Location: Shepherds Bush

Pay / salary:£41,600 OTE: Up to £65,000

Job type:Permanent / Full time role

Shift and schedulefor the Roadside Technician role

40 hours per week between 6am and 12pm, Monday to Sunday. Shifts known 4 months in advance. Flexi overtime at x1.5 and / or optional fixed overtime at £30 per hour. All hours start and stop from home, as soon as you start the van.

Job Responsibilities for the Roadside Technician role

What you'll need to a be considered for the Roadside Technician role

• Must have a minimum of Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance and repair or ideally Level 3 light vehicle maintenance and repair qualification (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ, or equivalent)
• Must have a minimum 2-year post-qualification hands on experience with vehicles. Either in a workshop or mobile vehicle type role.
