Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd in Bromley is seeking a Roadside Technician (Field based) to provide roadside assistance as part of a national breakdown service. The role offers a great base salary (£41,600) with OTE up to £65,000, overtime opportunities, and a broad benefits package including pension, life cover and generous holidays.

Shifts are 40 hours a week, start from home and travel to roadside calls across the region; you’ll use diagnostics, perform quick repairs, and advise members on next

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance and repair or ideally Level 3 light vehicle maintenance and repair qualification (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ, or equivalent).
• Must have a minimum 2-year post-qualification hands on experience with vehicles. Either in a workshop or mobile vehicle type role.
• Must have a full UK driving licence - max 6 points, no bans.

Responsibilities

• Attend roadside breakdowns and assess vehicle faults quickly and accurately.
• Carry out mechanical and electrical repairs at the roadside, including battery replacements, wheel changes, and minor engine fixes.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and determine repair options.
• Provide temporary solutions when full repair isn’t possible, ensuring member mobility.
• Advise members clearly on next steps, including recovery if needed.
• Work safely and efficiently in varied environments and conditions.

Education

Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance and repair (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ, or equivalent)

Pay / salary: Base: £41,600 (inclusive of LWA) OTE: Up to £65,000

Shift and schedule for the Roadside Technician role

40 hours per week between 6am and 12pm, Monday to Sunday. Shifts known 4 months in advance. Flexi overtime at x1.5 and / or optional fixed overtime at £30 per hour. All hours start and stop from home, as soon as you start the van.
