The AA is seeking a Roadside Rescue Mechanic in the United Kingdom. You will start and end each shift from your driveway and be paid from the moment you get in your van to the moment you return home.

You’ll work independently across varied locations, using your technical knowledge to assist members and resolve roadside issues promptly. With NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance, a valid B driving licence, and a proactive, adaptable mindset, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused role.

• NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualifications with appropriate experience
• Full category B driving licence, with 6 points or less
• Confidence using and adapting to new technology
• Flexibility to work shift patterns including evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays

Shifts:As a patrol you will work on average 40 hour week with a variety of shift pattern options available, you have the flexibility to choose a schedule that best suits your personal and professional needs. The number of rest days you enjoy each year, as well as the length of your shifts will vary based on the shift pattern you select.

What do I need?

• NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent qualifications with appropriate experience
• It’s essential that you have a full category B driving licence, with 6 points or less
• Confidence using and adapting to new technology we’ll provide the tools, you bring the curiosity.
• Flexibility to work shift patterns, including evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays because breakdowns don’t stick to a schedule.
