Job summary

The AA is recruiting a Roadside Rescue Mechanic to join our UK patrol team. You’ll work on a typical 40-hour week across variable locations, with shift patterns designed to fit your life.

You will diagnose and fix on-site issues and get members back on the road quickly, while delivering exceptional service in all weather. Expect guaranteed first-year earnings of £38,270 with OTE up to £60,000 for top performers.

Qualifications

• NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
• Full category B driving licence with 6 points or less
• Willingness to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays

Shifts:As a patrol you will work on average 40 hour week with a variety of shift pattern options available, you have the flexibility to choose a schedule that best suits your personal and professional needs. The number of rest days you enjoy each year, as well as the length of your shifts will vary based on the shift pattern you select.

What do I need?

• NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent qualifications with appropriate experience
• It’s essential that you have a full category B driving licence, with 6 points or less
• Confidence using and adapting to new technology we’ll provide the tools, you bring the curiosity.
• Flexibility to work shift patterns, including evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays because breakdowns don’t stick to a schedule.
