Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician based in Portsmouth to support maintenance, repair, and diagnostics of light vehicles. The technician will provide emergency breakdown support and work on-site daily, addressing roadside challenges with confidence and technical expertise.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience in technical, electrical or diagnostic roles.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and vehicle diagnostics across the UK.
• Provide emergency breakdown support including flat battery, tyre change and fault-finding solutions.
• Combine technical expertise with outstanding member service to meet the needs of customers.
• Work onsite daily, tackling challenges head-on.
