Job summary

West Sussex County Council is seeking a Road Safety Coordinator to join the Road Safety Education, Training and Publicity Team on a permanent basis. Based at County Hall, Chichester with hybrid working, you will support planning, coordination and delivery of cycle training and related projects to promote safe and accessible cycling across the county.

You will provide advice to diverse audiences, analyse data to inform progress, and assist with campaigns, web pages and communications.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused approach with high-quality service.
• Proven administrative experience handling records and information.
• Clear communication with diverse audiences and stakeholders.
• Ability to provide accurate advice and guidance.
• Interpersonal skills to maintain stakeholder relationships.
• Proficient IT skills with standard office software.
• Experience implementing policies in response to new legislation.
• Full clean driving licence essential for county-wide travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient, customer-focused advisory and administrative service to diverse audiences.
• Support marketing, promotion and communication of initiatives and programmes.
• Develop, plan and implement campaigns and web pages.
• Raise awareness locally through multiple channels and interpret data to inform progress.
• Travel around the county to support resources delivery as needed.
