Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel in the United Kingdom seeks a logistics assistant to support freight forwarding operations in Kegworth. You will efficiently process bookings and provide operational support to Freight Account Managers while coordinating with clients and overseas agents.

You will liaise with colleagues throughout shipments, resolve issues promptly, and help issue invoices. The role emphasizes teamwork, communication, and delivering reliable service as medicines, toys, and important machine parts

• Able to use own initiative and work unsupervised as well as within the wider team.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently process bookings from clients and overseas agents on to the system.
• Provide operational support for the Freight Account Managers when required.
• Liaise with all relevant parties throughout the shipment to organise the movement of goods.
• Deal with any issues that may arise during a shipment and ensure the client and/or Freight Account Manager is updated.
• Process sales and purchase invoices of the branch.
• Working at all times to enable and develop a team culture.
• Completing any reasonable task requested by supervisor/manager in a timely manner and aiding in other departmental work as needed to ensure efficiency and customer service.
