Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel is hiring an Air Logistics Customer Care Specialist in Manchester to manage customer relationships and coordinate with multiple internal teams for smooth shipment execution.

You will monitor air freight shipments, provide updates, resolve inquiries, and contribute to service excellence with KN digital tools while supporting continuous improvement in a dynamic global logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or vocational training in Freight Forwarding, Logistics or related field.
• Experience in Air Logistics or Freight Forwarding welcomed.
• Strong communication and customer service mindset required.
• Ability to manage escalations and build relationships with customers.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary contact for customers with a high level of service.

We are looking for an Air Logistics Customer Care Specialist to join our Customer Care team and act as a trusted partner for our customers throughout their logistics journey. In this role, you will manage customer relationships, coordinate with operational teams, and ensure smooth shipment execution while delivering outstanding service and solutions.

How you create impact

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and professional communication.
• Coordinate closely with Operational Care, Revenue Care, Gateway, Procurement, Pricing, and Sales teams to ensure seamless shipment execution.
• Monitor air freight shipments and proactively provide customers with updates, solutions, and support throughout the transportation process.
• Handle customer inquiries, manage escalations effectively, and build long-term customer relationships through excellent service delivery.
• Utilize KN customer-facing digital tools and internal systems to manage shipment information, track performance, and support service excellence.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, customer experience, and operational efficiency.

What we would like you to bring

• Degree, diploma, apprenticeship, or vocational training in Freight Forwarding, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Initial experience in Air Logistics, Freight Forwarding, Customer Service, or a related logistics environment.
• Strong customer service mindset with excellent communication, relationship-building, and escalation management skills.
• Knowledge of air freight shipment execution, import/export processes, and freight forwarding regulations and compliance requirements.
• Good analytical and organizational skills, including proficiency in MS Office and data handling.
