Job summary

WR Logistics in the United Kingdom is seeking a Road Freight Operations Coordinator to oversee the full lifecycle of road freight moves, from quotation through delivery, in a busy, commercially focused team. The role is hands-on, requiring energy, ownership, and strong relationship skills within a growing employee-owned freight group. The position offers hybrid working, Monday–Friday hours, and KPI-based incentives.

Qualifications

• Genuine road freight forwarding experience.
• Experience across both imports and exports.
• Knowledge of groupage, LTL and FTL.
• Experience with subcontracting and carrier management.
• Experience preparing road freight quotations.
• Ability to monitor shipments and track progress.
• Familiarity with customs and cross-border movements.
• Experience in end-to-end freight forwarding operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage import and export road freight shipments from quotation through to delivery.
• Arrange and coordinate groupage, LTL and FTL movements.
• Work with subcontractors and transport partners to secure the right solutions.
• Monitor shipments and proactively resolve issues or delays.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal teams throughout the shipment lifecycle.
• Prepare quotations and identify commercially viable solutions.
