Job summary

WR Logistics is seeking a Road Freight & Customs Operator for the Eastleigh area, near Southampton. The role focuses on managing road shipments and handling customs clearance within a growing freight forwarding team.

You will support import/export processes, coordinate from booking to delivery, and develop broader knowledge of freight modes while contributing to customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within freight forwarding.
• Solid experience with customs clearance.
• Knowledge of both import and export customs processes.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day road freight shipments.
• Handling import and export customs clearance.
• Preparing and checking customs and shipping documentation.
• Liaising with customers, hauliers, suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Coordinating shipments from booking through to delivery.
• Dealing with customs queries and resolving operational issues.
• Ensuring shipments are processed accurately and efficiently.
• Supporting the wider freight forwarding operation.
• Developing knowledge of road freight and other modes over time.
