Job summary

Rhenus Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Client Services professional to manage relationships, onboarding, and shipment tracking for key accounts. You will coordinate cargo space bookings, handle claims and insurance, and ensure accurate documentation for import/export processes.

The role focuses on proactive client communication, price negotiation, and timely POD collection to support billing and close-out activities within our logistics network.

Responsibilities

• Client Relationship Management: Act as the dedicated point of contact for clients, providing regular shipping updates and resolving concerns proactively.
• Onboarding & Retention: Guide new clients smoothly through onboarding processes and maintain high service standards to drive account retention.
• Tracking and Support: Monitor shipments in transit and update clients on delivery progress.
• Risk Management: Arrange cargo insurance and handle claims for lost or damaged goods.
• Documentation Management: Verify the commercial invoices and request for all import/export paperwork to be raised.
• Rate Negotiation: Negotiate prices and book cargo space with transport carriers in our internal systems.
• Proof of Delivery (POD) Management: Collect, verify, and log POD documents promptly to trigger client billing and close out files.
