MIU Consulting in the Essex area is seeking an ambitious Business Development Manager to win new business and grow their UK and Europe road freight offering.

You will spend most of your time prospecting, pitching and closing new customers, while also expanding existing accounts, with a £50,000 base plus car allowance and performance bonus. This role requires a proven road freight sales background and strong negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in selling road freight services.
• Strong knowledge of UK and European road freight.
• Comfortable with cold outreach and self-generating leads.
• Confident communicator with negotiation skills.
• Commercially minded with understanding of pricing and margins.
• Organised, self-motivated and able to manage a pipeline.

Responsabilités

• Generate new business for UK and European road freight, including LCL, FTL and groupage.
• Self-generate leads through networking, cold calling, social selling, referrals and market research.
• Build and manage a strong pipeline from first contact through to closed deal.
• Prepare tailored quotes, tenders and proposals in conjunction with the operations and pricing teams.
• Manage and grow existing accounts, identifying opportunities to increase volume and add services.
• Develop long-term relationships with customers, building trust and repeat business.
• Maintain accurate pipeline and activity records in the CRM.
• Work with operations and customer service teams so that customer commitments are delivered.
