Responsibilities
- Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients, consistent with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice.
- Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administers medications and treatments using appropriate protocols; monitors side-effects and effectiveness.
- Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided.
- Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, families, and caregivers; identifies issues and resources.

Health Information Documentation

Medical Equipment
- Uses and troubleshoots medical equipment, educates patients, and ensures safety.
Medical Order Processing
- Processes medical orders accurately, understands system functions, and corrects errors.
Patient Chart Reading & Interpretation
- Reviews and interprets patient charts, identifies errors, and discusses findings.
Patient Safety
- Implements safety practices, responds to inquiries, and reports incidents.
Job Requirements
- Education/Skills: Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Experience: 1 year in related nursing specialty preferred.
- Licenses: BLS required; RN license in state or compact.
