Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Assistant or Civil Engineer to join the Rivers and Coastal Management team in Cambridge, Reading, Exeter or Taunton. You will help design and manage river and coastal projects, including lowland drainage and flood risk schemes, and support stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

The role involves collaboration with clients, contractors and regulatory authorities, with opportunities for growth, mentoring, and a hybrid working model.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering with progress toward Chartered status.
• Experience in relevant design roles and working with multiple disciplines.
• Experience supervising construction works with contractors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare designs, specifications and reports for flood risk and coastal schemes.
• Communicate design information through all project stages from concept to construction.
• Support NEC contract management and QA checks.
• Liaise with Environment Agency, MMO and other stakeholders for consents.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors and Stantec teams; provide construction stage support.
• Mentor and develop early-career staff.
