Job summary

Cadent Gas Ltd in Peterborough is seeking a Risk and Assurance Support Officer to help deliver second-line assurance across Cadent's Capital Delivery projects and supply chain. You will contribute to robust assurance programmes, identify risks and drive improvements in performance and compliance.

You will work with the Risk, Reporting and Assurance team to plan, design and deliver assurance activities, supporting investigations and communicating findings with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of assurance, auditing, risk management or compliance activities within a regulated environment.
• Ability to assess information, identify trends and provide practical recommendations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver assurance plans that focus on key business risks and controls.
• Deliver assurance reviews and support investigations relating to business events and change initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve business processes and strengthen control environments.
• Work closely with operational teams, contractors and business leaders to agree actions and drive positive outcomes.
• Produce clear assurance reports that communicate findings and recommendations.
