Job summary

Chadwick Nott is seeking a Solicitor to join the Risk & Compliance team of a Top 100 UK law firm. You will advise on regulatory matters, support risk and governance initiatives, and help embed best practices across the business. The role offers significant stakeholder exposure and flexible work arrangements, including potential remote work.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with at least 2 years' PQE.
• Experience in a law firm environment.
• Knowledge of SRA Standards and Regulations.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Interest in AI and legal tech applications.
• Previous exposure to risk and compliance work advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Advise on regulatory and compliance issues across the firm.
• Support client onboarding, conflicts and file management processes.
• Review engagement documentation and contractual arrangements.
• Assist with complaints, claims and regulatory matters.
• Deliver training and guidance to colleagues.
• Support internal audits, policy development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor regulatory developments and communicate key changes.
• Contribute to projects relating to risk, compliance, governance and legal technology, including AI.

Job description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor to join the Risk & Compliance team of a highly regarded Top 100 UK law firm with a strong national presence and Legal 500-recognised expertise, playing a key role in supporting and strengthening the firm's regulatory and governance framework.

Working closely with legal and business services teams, you'll provide practical advice on compliance matters, support risk management initiatives and help embed best practice across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

• Advising on regulatory and compliance issues across the firm
• Supporting client onboarding, conflicts and file management processes
• Reviewing engagement documentation and contractual arrangements
• Assisting with complaints, claims and regulatory matters
• Delivering training and guidance to colleagues
• Supporting internal audits, policy development and continuous improvement initiatives
• Monitoring regulatory developments and communicating key changes
• Contributing to projects relating to risk, compliance, governance and legal technology, including AI

This is a varied role offering significant stakeholder exposure and the opportunity to influence how risk and compliance is managed across the firm.

Candidate Requirements

You’ll ideally have:

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with at least 2 years' PQE
• Experience of working within a law firm environment
• Knowledge of SRA Standards and Regulations
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Confidence delivering guidance, training and constructive challenge
• A proactive and solutions-focused approachAn interest in legal technology and the compliance considerations surrounding AI

Previous exposure to risk and compliance work would be advantageous but is not essential.
