Job summary

Chadwick Nott is seeking a highly experienced Senior Risk Solicitor to join our Bristol-based team on a hybrid basis. You will advise on regulatory, ethical and governance matters, shaping risk strategy and supporting commercial success while upholding the highest professional standards.

You will lead complex risk initiatives, oversee compliance programmes and contribute to policy development, training and risk governance across the firm.

Qualifications

• Extensive risk & compliance experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
• Strong advisory skills on regulatory matters including SRA, AML, GDPR and conflicts.
• Proven ability to lead and develop risk/compliance teams and programmes.
• Experience designing policies, procedures and training for risk governance.
• Understanding of professional indemnity, complaints handling and insurer relationships.

This role offers the chance to play a pivotal part in shaping risk, compliance and best practice across a dynamic legal business, while working alongside senior leaders and legal specialists.

The successful candidate will be a trusted adviser on regulatory, ethical and governance matters, providing strategic guidance that supports commercial success while maintaining the highest professional standards. They will lead complex risk matters, oversee key compliance initiatives and contribute to the development of policies, procedures and training programmes that strengthen the firm’s risk culture.
