Job summary

Chadwick Nott - South West and South Wales is seeking a Risk & Compliance Solicitor to join a leading Top 100 UK law firm in Taunton. You will help maintain regulatory standards, manage risk processes and support governance alongside colleagues across legal and business services.

The role requires a Solicitor in England & Wales with 2+ PQE and experience in a regulated firm. You will advise on regulatory obligations, handling onboarding, engagements, complaints and regulatory enquiries while

Qualifications

• Qualified as a Solicitor in England & Wales with at least 2 years PQE.
• Experience in a regulated law firm.
• Strong knowledge of SRA Standards and Regulations.

Risk & Compliance Solicitor - Taunton

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Solicitor to join the Risk & Compliance function of a leading Top 100 UK law firm, recognised by the Legal 500 and known for delivering high-quality legal services across a diverse range of practice areas.

As part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team, you will play an important role in helping the firm maintain strong regulatory standards, effective risk management processes and robust governance procedures. Working with colleagues across both legal and business services teams, you will provide practical compliance support while contributing to the firm's wider risk strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing guidance on regulatory obligations and compliance matters across the business

Candidate Requirements

• Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales with a minimum of 2 years' PQE


• Previous experience working within a regulated law firm

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities


• Excellent communication skills with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels


• Experience providing guidance, support and constructive challenge to colleagues


• A pragmatic, commercially minded and proactive approach


• An interest in legal innovation, technology and the regulatory impact of AI

While experience in a dedicated risk and compliance role would be beneficial, it is not essential.
