Job summary

Chessington World of Adventures Resort is seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer (Mechanical bias) to maintain the safety, reliability, and performance of rides and attractions. You will inspect, service, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment across a busy seasonal cycle.

You will work in a dynamic engineering team, rebuilding ride vehicles and brake assemblies, maintaining pneumatic systems, and supporting annual maintenance programmes.

Qualifications

• Experience reading and using engineering drawings.
• Experience with planned preventative maintenance systems of work.
• COSHH knowledge and statutory safety requirements.
• Problem solving and diagnostic skills.
• Inspection experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Utilising PPM task plans to carry out daily safety critical inspections upon rides, vehicles and other attractions.
• Reactive maintenance and repairs, tracked through work order creation and completion.
• Undertaking pre-planned maintenance including strip down and rebuild of attraction vehicles and brake assemblies.
• Strip down and resealing of pneumatic cylinders.
• Inspection of mechanical and electrical components.
• Maintain maintenance records and logs for compliance metrics.
• Maintain workshop standards using LEAN/5S methodologies.
• Assist with auditing and ordering critical spare components for rides and attractions.
