Job summary

Chessington World of Adventures is seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer to maintain the safety, reliability and performance of its rides and attractions. You will join a skilled engineering team, carrying out inspections, planned maintenance, diagnostics and repairs across mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment.

You'll rebuild ride vehicles and brake assemblies, maintain pneumatic systems and support major overhauls during the closed season.

Qualifications

• ONC, NVQ Level 3 or BTEC in engineering completed through an apprenticeship or college route.
• Post apprenticeship/qualification experience.
• COSHH awareness and understanding of engineering-related statutory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Utilising PPM task plans to carry out daily safety critical inspections.
• Reactive maintenance and repairs, tracked through work orders.
• Preplanned maintenance including strip down and rebuild of vehicles and brake assemblies; pneumatic components inspected.
• Inspect mechanical and electrical components.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs for compliance.
• Adhere to safety practices and quality standards (e.g., 5S / LEAN).
• Assist with auditing and ordering critical spare components for rides and attractions.
