Job summary

Merlin Entertainments at Chessington World of Adventures is seeking a mechanically biased engineer to join our engineering team. You will work on ride vehicles, braking systems and pneumatic equipment, ensuring safety, reliability and performance across a wide range of mechanical components.

You will carry out inspections, planned maintenance, diagnostics and repairs, with opportunities to support major overhauls during the off-season.

Qualifications

• ONC, NVQ level 3 or BTEC equivalent gained through an Apprenticeship or college route in engineering.
• Post apprenticeship/qualification experience would be beneficial.
• Experience reading and using engineering drawings and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections, planned preventative maintenance and repairs on mechanical/electro-mechanical systems.
• Perform diagnostics and fault-finding to keep rides safe and reliable.
• Maintain maintenance records and logs to support compliance metrics.
• Contribute to safety practices and LEAN/5S in the workshop.
