Job summary

Chessington World of Adventures is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our specialist engineering team responsible for the safety-critical maintenance of rides and attractions.

In this role you will fault-find, maintain and diagnose complex electro-mechanical systems across the resort, including electrical panels, control systems and ride vehicles, while contributing to major overhauls and upgrades. Merlin benefits included.

Qualifications

• ONC, NVQ Level 3 or BTEC in engineering.
• Post-apprenticeship engineering experience.
• Experience in maintenance engineering environment.
• Experience in manufacturing, automotive, rail, aerospace, marine, facilities would be advantageous.
• Reading engineering drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Carry out safety-critical inspections and planned maintenance across rides and systems.
• Diagnose faults, perform reactive maintenance, and record activities in CMMS.
• Strip down and rebuild attraction vehicles, mechanical brakes, pumps and pneumatics.
• Perform electrical testing, rewiring and inspections of control systems and ride components.
• Maintain ride availability and support major refurbishments.
