Job summary

Merlin Entertainments is seeking a Ride Host at Alton Towers Resort to ensure safe, magical experiences for guests. You will assist with ride operations, engage guests with excellent service, and help manage queues while upholding safety standards.

Full training is provided; weekend availability is required. This seasonal role supports multiple departments as needed within the park environment.

Qualifications

• Able to demonstrate flexibility in their availability, including weekend working
• Friendly and approachable with excellent communication skills
• Enthusiastic and willing to create a positive guest experience
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, outdoor environment
• Ready to take on responsibility and ensure health and safety standards are met
• Able to work by themselves and as part of a team
• A head for heights would be beneficial
• No previous experience is necessary! We provide full training to all team members.

Location: Alton Towers Resort

About The Role

As a Ride Host, you’ll be the face of Alton Towers Resort, ensuring all our guests have a magical and safe experience. You’ll be responsible for assisting with the smooth running of our world-class rides, helping to create memories for families, friends, and thrill-seekers!

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Working on our rides and attractions with a focus on safety and efficiency
• Engaging with guests to provide exceptional customer service
• Assisting with guest queries and ensuring their needs are met
• Managing queues, helping guests access rides safely, and ensuring everyone follows safety procedures
• Reporting any operational issues or incidents to the operator
• Support in daily presentational duties of our rides and attractions

This seasonal role will run until November. Due to the nature of the position, we are looking for candidates who can demonstrate flexibility with their availability, including regular weekend work.

Please note that while you are applying for roles within specific home departments such as Ride Host, Retail, or other front-line teams, you may be required to support additional departments based on operational needs. Flexibility is essential, and you may be scheduled in alternative areas at certain times during the season.
