Job summary

University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Rheumatology Patient Navigator to act as the central contact for patients under Rheumatology care and to support their surveillance pathways.

The role focuses on ensuring timely scans, coordinating appointments, and maintaining patient tracking across nurse-led and consultant clinics. It requires strong IT/data skills and weekend/shift flexibility as part of NHS duties.

Qualifications

• NVQ3 in Business Administration or equivalent or relevant experience.
• ECDL or recognised typing qualification or relevant experience.
• GCSE Maths and English or Equivalent.
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support for patients to maintain engagement in the surveillance pathways and ensure scans are completed on schedule.
• Act as central point of contact, signposting to resources and coordinating with staff to schedule tests and appointments.
• Maintain and populate tracking lists for nurse-led and consultant clinics and monitor patients through the RTT pathway.
• Predominantly on-site at Royal Lancaster Infirmary with cross-team collaboration.
