Job summary

Motorola Solutions UK Limited, within CRFS, Cambridge, seeks a hands-on Test and Validation Engineer (RF Systems) to bridge prototype development and mission-ready products. You will balance methodical verification with rapid testing to ensure RF systems are robust and reliable.

You will lead validation planning, prototype testing in lab and field, and system integration across hardware, RF, software, and mechanics, while driving fault-finding and documentation for engineering changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in test, validation, or integration of complex RF/electronics-based systems.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools like spectrum analyzers, signal generators and oscilloscopes.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute system-level validation plans balancing rigorous testing with delivery speed.
• Plan and conduct functional, performance, and stress testing in lab and field environments.
• Validate complete systems including hardware, RF, software, and mechanical elements.
• Lead fault-finding investigations across multiple domains from embedded to mechanical integration.
• Develop and maintain high-quality test rigs, fixtures, and automated procedures.
• Produce clear, evidence-based documentation for reviews and NPIs.
