Job summary

Mount Charles is seeking a team-oriented individual for a customer-focused role where you will assist in food preparation and provide efficient service to customers. The ideal candidate will have previous food handling experience and maintain high standards of hygiene.

This role involves compliance with health and safety regulations, ensuring a tidy environment, and effective communication within the team. Working hours are 40 hours per week across 5 days, with shifts scheduled between 04.00am and 08.30pm.

The Role

• You will work as part of a team to provide an efficient and friendly service to customers, assisting as directed with all aspects of food preparation and presentation to high quality standards.
• You will comply with all HACCP regulations and all Health, Safety & Hygiene standards.
• You will maintain a hygienic and tidy environment; ensure tables, accompaning items and counters are kept clean and adequately supplied throughout the service period.
• You will check deliveries and food temperatures, complete records and operate the till as required.
• You will report defective equipment/utensils/work and floor surfaces or any other Health and Safety issues to your Line Manager.
• You will work effectively both independently and with a close working relationship with the team, communicating at all levels.

Basic statutory training is required; all candidates must have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. The successful applicant’s offer is subject to an Access NI (Basic) check prior to commencement.
