The Role
The Finance Team supports and empowers Palantirians through both day-to-day operations and a solution-oriented approach to problem solving. As a member of the Revenue Team, you will be responsible for guiding your customer & deal portfolio through the quote-to-cash process, analyzing and reviewing complex revenue transactions, and continually refining our revenue recognition policies. You will need to articulate revenue guidance clearly while supporting legal and deal teams on contract drafting to maximize revenue. You will also provide direction on technical revenue accounting issues and explain the accounting impact to internal stakeholders across teams like Business Development/Sales, Legal, and Finance during contract negotiations. You will work closely with Sales, Finance, and Accounts Receivable teams to ensure the health of your portfolio and participate in global month/quarter-end revenue close.
You are a hands-on self-starter who loves to collaborate and is always looking to improve the status quo. The position requires strong technical, analytical, attention to detail, and communication skills.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage the revenue recognition process from contract negotiation to financial statement disclosure.
- Partner with Legal and Sales to optimize contractual structures for business objectives while ensuring compliance with policies and revenue recognition rules.
- Exercise judgment and document accounting conclusions in technical memos according to policies and revenue recognition standards.
- Drive month-end close processes by creating and validating accruals, preparing journal entries, and ensuring policy compliance.
- Provide technical guidance and support to Finance, Legal, and Sales teams.
- Work with auditors to ensure revenue recognition policies are consistent and compliant with GAAP.
- Identify and implement continuous improvements in revenue processes, systems, and reporting.
- Collaborate on revenue forecasting with business leadership and Finance teams.
What We Value

- Proficiency with NetSuite or similar revenue recognition systems.
- CPA or ACCA/ACA qualification (preferred but not required).
What We Require
- Extensive experience applying ASC 606, especially in enterprise SaaS.
- 5+ years’ experience in a large public accounting firm or a mid-size enterprise software company.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in business, economics, finance, or accounting.
