Job summary

Boughey Distribution in Wardle is seeking a Returns Warehouse Operative to manage end-to-end handling of customer returns, ensuring efficient processing and accurate documentation for reintegration into stock. The role combines hands-on warehouse work with admin tasks in a fast-paced environment. Counterbalance forklift operation is a core requirement.

Qualifications

• Forklift license and counterbalance certification required.
• Experience in handling returns and inventory in warehouse.
• Strong numerical accuracy and data entry skills.
• Comfortable with a hands-on role and occasional admin tasks.
• Commitment to Health & Safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate a counterbalance forklift to safely collect and transport returned goods from designated areas back into stock in the warehouse.
• Inspect, sort and process incoming returns; assess condition and determine next steps (goods to repair or back into stock).
• Accurately log all returns in warehouse systems to maintain precise inventory records.
• Load and unload trailers safely and effectively to support smooth operations.
• Perform computer-based tasks including updating records and managing email inbox.
• Perform small amounts of handballing as required.
• Be aware of and adhere to the Company’s Health & Safety Policy.

We are looking for a Returns Warehouse Operative who is counterbalance forklift certified to join our team based out of the Wardle

site on a permanent basis working Monday to Friday hours.

Youwill manage the end-to-end handling of customer returns, ensuring efficient processing,accuratedocumentation, and seamless

integration back into our inventory. The position combines hands-on warehouse operations with occasional administrative tasks in a

fast-paced environment.

Day to Day

• Operate a counterbalance forklift to safely collect and transport returned goods from designated areas back into stock in the warehouse.
