Job summary

Platform Housing Group is seeking a Retirement Housing Officer to deliver housing and tenancy management across Leicestershire and surrounding areas. The role requires regular travel, with occasional training at Platform Housing offices.

You will support residents with practical and preventative advice, signpost to specialist services, and manage building concerns including inspections, risk assessments, and safety compliance. An Enhanced DBS check is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide housing and tenancy management to maximise tenancy sustainment.
• Signpost to specialist care and support services to promote wellbeing and minimize isolation.
• Carry out effective building management including property inspections and H&S monitoring.
• Respond to breaches of tenancy agreements and take timely action.
• Liaise with residents and colleagues to resolve complex issues.

Are you a Housing Officer looking to make a difference? Do you have a passion for Specialist Housing or Supported Living?

We have an opportunity for a Retirement Housing Officer to join our Specialist Housing team based in Leicestershire, with regular travel across the region and surrounding areas, plus occasional travel to Platform Housing offices when required for training.

What could you be doing?

As a Retirement Housing Officer, you will be providing a housing and tenancy management service to maximise tenancy sustainment. You'll be a regular and flexible customer contact for the residents, providing practical and preventative support and advice. As well as this, you will signpost to specialist care and support services to maximise wellbeing, social interaction and minimise isolation.

You will provide effective building management, including property inspections, risk assessments, H&S monitoring and compliance checks. Responding, investigating and taking timely action to reported breaches of tenancy agreements will be a key part of the role.

Experience of working in a customer-facing role in a Housing organisation or with older people in a community/retirement housing.

Due to the travel to offices and other facilities, a driving licence and use of your own vehicle or alternative means of getting to the required locations is essential.. You will also need to be based in Leicestershire.
