NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is seeking a Retinal Screening Photographer to provide high-quality retinal photography for people with diabetes across multiple sites, including fixed sites, GP surgeries, mobile units and other healthcare settings. You will work independently after training to ensure clinics run smoothly and safely.

The post involves training towards Level 1 Image Grading, data handling, and supporting screening services in line with national standards and protocols.

Competenze

• Experience as a retinal screening photographer.
• Completion of National Screening Modules: HC1, HC2, HC3, HC4, HC9, HC10, HC11.
• Driver's licence essential for the role.
• Experience using digital imaging equipment and cameras.
• Competent in the use of IT systems, PCs and software applications.
• Effective communication, reporting and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational, time management and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible approach to working across multiple service locations.

Mansioni

• Carry out retinal photography for people with diabetes across NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde.
• Obtain patient consent and measure visual acuity.
• Administer mydriatic eye drops in line with Patient Group Directions.
• Prepare clinic rooms and mobile screening vehicles; maintain and clean equipment; manage stock.
• Import and export patient data and retinal images; support clinic administration; book appointments.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and health and safety standards.
• Undertake training towards Level 1 Image Grading and document screening activity.
