Job summary

NCIC in Cumbria is seeking a Diabetic Eye Screening Programme Manager to lead screening services across rural and remote areas. You will perform retina image capture, analysis and reporting to prevent blindness through early detection and treatment of retinopathy.

A full UK driving license is required to transport screening equipment to sites. The post includes training and a commitment to a Level 3 Health Screener Diploma within 18 months, with DBS disclosure and adherence to NHS values.

Qualifications

• Good standard of education.
• To hold or be prepared to undertake the Level 3 Health Screener Diploma.
• Level 3 Health Screener Diploma.

Responsibilities

• Deliver diabetic eye screening through Routine Digital Screening and Digital Surveillance, including OCT imaging.
• Analyse retina images to identify diabetic eye disease and other eye conditions.
• Carry out duties with training provided and transport mobile screening equipment to clinics.
• Meet service policies and complete Level 3 Health Screener Diploma within 18 months.
