Job summary

National Trust is seeking a customer-focused retail assistant for a fixed-term 6-month contract. This zero-hour role requires weekend work and shifts between 9:00 and 17:30, with typical hours 1–2 days per week, and a pay of £12.75 per hour.

You’ll help with deliveries, create shop displays, keep the shop floor tidy, and contribute to a supportive team while delivering great service. The National Trust offers a range of benefits and an inclusive culture.

Job description

You'll also be able to talk to them about how everything they buy helps to fund the work of the National Trust. Other duties may include arranging, receiving and unpacking deliveries, creating shop displays and working with others in the team to keep the shop floor clean and organised.

Salary: 12.75 per hour

Contract/duration: Fixed term for 6 Months Contract type: This is a zero-hour contract, meaning we can't guarantee a set number of hours each week. While we aim to provide a consistent work pattern, flexibility is needed as schedules may change based on business needs. We'll try to give as much notice as possible. The role includes weekends and Bank Holidays but does not require evenings or split shifts. Normal pattern would be 1-2 days per week, must be available weekdays. Hours/working pattern 1-2 days per week between the hours of 9-5.30,
