The National Trust is seeking a Food and Beverage Team Member to provide frontline service in our cafes, tea-rooms and restaurants across the UK. The role focuses on welcoming guests, serving food and drink, and maintaining high standards of presentation and customer care.

The National Trust is renowned for its food and hospitality. We run 185 cafes, tea-rooms and restaurants all over England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and we'd love you to join us. We're looking for a Food and Beverage Team Member. In this role, you'd be making a real difference to the work of the National Trust, as well as helping to give people a memorable day out.
Contract type: This is a zero-hour contract, meaning we can't guarantee a set number of hours each week.
While we aim to provide a consistent work pattern, flexibility is needed as schedules may change based on business needs. We'll try to give as much notice as possible. The role includes weekends and Bank Holidays but does not require evening or split shifts. Normal pattern would be 1 or 2 days per week, must be available weekdays
Contract duration: Fixed term for 6 months
Hours/Working pattern: 1 or 2 days per week between the hours of 9-5.30
Salary: £12.75 per hour
As a Team Member, your main focus will be front of house, dealing directly with people. You'll welcome and look after everyone who comes to the café. With your love of working with people, your 'can-do' attitude and your desire to provide an outstanding service, you'll be making sure everyone has an enjoyable time. This is a lively business that's constantly on the go, so teamwork and adaptability are crucial.
You'll be keen to understand what people want, to help them and to make recommendations. You'll always keep the standards of food and drink preparation and presentation high. Using your excellent eye for detail, you'll make sure all displays and signs are accurate and looking good. At times, you may need to help the kitchen team with preparing food.
We'll give you an induction that fits the job, and training in allergens and food safety, plus any mentoring needed to help you in your role. You can sign up for further professional training and development if you wish.
