Job summary

Farmfoods is recruiting an Assistant Store Manager for our Walton shop (Rice Lane, L9 3BY). This full-time role involves 43 hours across 5 days per week, usually including at least one weekend shift.

Salary ranges from £31,449.60 to £35,306.88 per annum on a 43-hour contract, with benefits such as 6 weeks holiday and 15% staff discount. You will work with the shop manager to run an efficient shop, coach and develop a team of retail assistants, and take responsibility in the manager's absence

• Experience as a manager, team leader or supervisor.
• Trustworthy and reliable with strong people skills.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the shop manager to run an efficient shop and provide a great service to customers.
• Be responsible for developing and coaching the team of retail assistants.
• Be accountable for the shop in the absence of the shop manager and ensure deliveries, safety, and tidy shop operations.
• Motivate and guide the team to control operating costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll.
• Support recruitment and induction of new team members.
