Job summary

Farmfoods Bedford is seeking a dedicated Assistant Store Manager to help run our 5-day, 43-hour week. You will work closely with the shop manager to deliver great service and efficient daily operations.

The permanent role offers £31,449–£35,306 per year, 6 weeks holiday, 15% staff discount and a benefits package. Weekend work is required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a manager, team leader, or supervisor.
• Ability to coach and mentor staff to improve performance.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexible to work weekends and varied shifts.
• Committed to delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Run an efficient shop and provide great service to customers.
• Develop your team through coaching and feedback.
• Act as shop lead in the manager's absence while ensuring that customers are looked after, deliveries are worked quickly and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean and tidy shop.
• Help control costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll.
• Support recruitment and induction of new team members.
