Job summary

Farmfoods in Liverpool is seeking an Assistant Manager for a full-time role at Walton Road, L4 4BB. You will support the shop manager to deliver excellent customer service, develop your team, and oversee daily operations on a 43-hour week, including weekends.

The position offers comprehensive benefits and requires flexible availability. You will play a key part in maintaining standards and driving store performance.

Qualifications

• Some experience as a manager, team leader or supervisor.
• Willing to be flexible including weekends.
• Basic DBS check (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check (Scotland) if hired.

Responsibilities

• Work with the shop manager to run an efficient shop and provide a great service to customers.
• Be responsible for the development of your team of retail assistants through coaching, mentoring and providing feedback.
• Be accountable for the shop in the absence of the shop manager and ensure customers are looked after, deliveries are processed, and shop routines kept safe and tidy.
• Take responsibility for motivating and guiding your team to control operational costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll.
• Support the shop manager with recruitment and induction of new team members.
