Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is recruiting a Retail Supervisor to ensure smooth operations for a major High Street brand. This is a full-time role contracted to 35 hours per week with variable shifts.

You will lead frontline staff, oversee till operations, manage deliveries and rotas, and upholdFood Handling, Hygiene, and Health & Safety standards while delivering excellent customer service across their 6,000 venues.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising frontline teams in a retail or hospitality setting.
• Strong customer service focus with clear communication.
• Motivates a team and maintains a positive attitude under pressure.
• Able to manage shifts and deliver consistent service.

Responsibilities

• Check and store deliveries promptly and correctly.
• Supervise a team and create a welcoming, supportive environment.
• Act as a responsible key holder and handle till operations.
• Assist with weekly bookwork and duties as required.
• Produce weekly rotas following manager guidelines.
• Place stock orders to maintain inventory levels.
• Delegate tasks and keep the team proactive.
• Ensure compliance with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health & Safety standards.
