Compass Group UK&I – ESS is recruiting a Retail Supervisor to join Defence on a full-time basis, 35 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, contracted to 49.2 weeks per year in Fareham, UK.

The role leads the shop floor team, ensuring smooth operations and outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate has frontline supervision experience, strong communication skills, and a team-oriented, positive attitude under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a shop floor team and foster a welcoming, supportive environment.

• Act as a key holder with responsibility for the store.
• Adhere to Food Hygiene and Health & Safety standards.

About The Role

We're currently recruiting a Retail Supervisor to join Defence on a full time basis, contracted to 35 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7. You'll lead the team on the shop floor, keeping things running smoothly and making sure every customer gets great service. Please note: This role is contracted to 49.2 weeks per year

What You'll Do

• Supervising a team, creating a positive environment where everyone feels welcomed and supported
• Using the till, taking orders and receiving payments
• Producing weekly rotas following the manager's guidelines
• Checking and storing deliveries promptly and correctly, and ordering stock
• Being a responsible key holder
• Complying with Food Hygiene and Health & Safety standards
