Matalan in Bangor is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and KPIs while delivering excellent customer experiences. You’ll lead a high-performing team, drive VM standards, and maximise stock availability to create an inspiring shopping environment.

You will coach colleagues, analyze sales performance, and ensure compliance. The role offers opportunities for development within a growing retail brand and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Previous retail management experience ideally within a volume retailer.
• Demonstrable track record of delivering high standards and KPI’s.
• Proven high standards of customer engagement and service.
• Strong leadership, listening and communication skills.
• Good analytical ability and data interpretation skills.
• Proven ability to develop others.

Responsibilities

• Drive performance with store management team and develop talent.
• Coach the team to deliver a service culture and best practices.
• Analyze daily sales performance and delegate key actions to the team.
• Ensure compliance and audit activities across the store.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback.
• Ensure VM guidelines are followed to deliver an inspiring shopping experience.
