Job summary

Carlisle Support Services is hiring a Store Detective for Tesco partnerships in the Liverpool area. The role involves undercover surveillance, high-visibility presence, CCTV monitoring, and detaining suspects with proper reporting and compliance.

Ideal candidates will be 18+, possess an essential SIA Guarding or Door Supervision licence, and have strong communication and computer skills. Vehicle access is desirable; full training and ongoing support are provided.

Qualifications

• SIA Guarding or Door Supervision licence is essential.
• At least 18 years old (legal requirement for front-line licensable activity).
• Access to own vehicle is desirable.
• Retail security experience is advantageous in customer-facing environments.
• Strong communication and computer literacy are required.
• Five years of checkable work and address history is expected.

Responsibilities

• Conduct undercover surveillance to identify and prevent theft, fraud and other criminal activities.
• Maintain a highly visible presence to deter potential offenders.
• Monitor CCTV to identify suspicious behaviour and incidents.
• Detain and interview individuals suspected of theft, following policies and legal requirements.
• Compile detailed reports and present findings to clients, management and law enforcement as needed.
• Assist with inventory audits and security assessments.
