Job summary

Carlisle Support Services is recruiting a Store Detective for our Tesco partnership in Liverpool. You will conduct undercover surveillance, deter theft, monitor CCTV and interview suspects in line with policy. Training is provided and career development is supported.

You must be 18+, hold an SIA Guarding or Door Supervision licence, and be reliable, professional and customer-focused. A driving licence is desirable; previous retail security experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older due to licencing requirements.
• SIA Guarding or Door Supervision licence (Essential).
• Access to own Vehicle (desirable).
• Previous retail security experience is an advantage, particularly in customer-facing environments.
• Experience within a security environment is desirable.
• Strong communication and computer literacy.
• 5 years checkable work and address history.
• Reliable, punctual, flexible, and smart in appearance.
• Friendly, approachable, and always professional.
• Enthusiastic and motivated to do a great job.

Responsibilities

• Conduct undercover surveillance to identify and prevent theft, fraud, and other criminal activities within the store.
• Maintain a highly visible presence to deter potential offenders.
• Monitor CCTV systems to identify suspicious behaviour and incidents.
• Detain and interview individuals suspected of theft or wrongdoing, adhering to company policies and legal requirements.
• Compile detailed reports and evidence, and confidently present findings to clients.
• Collaborate with store management and law enforcement as necessary.
• Assist with inventory audits and security assessments.
• Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.

The role

Carlisle Support Services is looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and dedicated individuals to join our team, working with our prestigious clients. Location: Liverpool Area

Hours:

Variable 5 days over 7 between hours of 0600 and 0000 (9 hour shifts- 45 hours per week- 1 hour unpaid break per shift (40 Hours paid per week)

Pay:

£16.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate

• At least 18 years old - a legal requirement to work in a front-line licensable activity
• SIA Guarding or Door Supervision licence (Essential)
• Access to own Vehicle (desirable)
• Previous retail security experience is an advantage, particularly in customer-facing environments
• Experience within a security environment is desirable
• Strong communication and computer literacy
• 5 years checkable work and address history
• Reliable, punctual, flexible, and smart in appearance
• Friendly, approachable, and always professional
• Enthusiastic and motivated to do a great job
• Ideally some experience within a Security environment or a customer facing role
• Able to interact with clients and customers in a positive manner
• Some experience working within a Security environment and working as part of a team
• Effective people skills, able to interact with clients and customers in a positive manner

Successful candidates will be required to provide original documentation for detailed screening and vetting processes.

This could include the following: passport / driving licence / utility bill dated in the last 3 months / HMRC letter / original bank statement / original payslip / birth certificate / a valid share code.
