Job summary

Carlisle Support Services is recruiting a Retail Security Tactical Support Officer in Stafford. You will provide frontline security across multiple retail locations, using CCTV and intelligence-led methods to deter theft and protect people and property.

You will hold a valid SIA licence, have a clean driving record and excellent communication skills. Training is provided, with progression opportunities within a growing national security team.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
• Must hold a full UK driving licence and have held it for a minimum of 2 years.
• Must have no more than 6 penalty points on their driving licence.
• Strong communication skills and good computer literacy.
• Able to provide a 5-year checkable work and address history.

Responsibilities

• Provide tactical security support across multiple retail locations, responding to theft trends, incidents and high-risk stores.
• Conduct overt and covert surveillance to deter theft, fraud and organised retail crime.
• Maintain a highly visible presence to deter offenders and reassure staff, customers and clients.
• Monitor CCTV systems and use intelligence-led approaches to identify suspicious activity.
• Safely and lawfully detain suspected offenders where appropriate, in line with procedures and law.
• Gather evidence, complete detailed incident reports and produce statements for clients and police.
• Support stores experiencing elevated theft or security-related incidents.
• Liaise with store management, police and other stakeholders; conduct security audits.
