Job summary

Tesco is hiring a Shift Lead to help deliver great customer experiences in-store across multiple departments. You’ll lead a small team, ensure smooth daily operations and coaching colleagues to provide outstanding service.

Starting pay is £15.59 per hour, rising to £16.86 in stores within the M25, with a guaranteed minimum of 16 hours per week and options for 12-hour roles. Applicants must be 18+ and ready to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to deliver a great in-store customer experience.
• Work across all areas of the store and assist colleagues with day-to-day queries.
• Build positive, inclusive relationships to help colleagues perform at their best.
• Confidently leading the store in the Manager’s absence.
• Make balanced, flexible decisions and adapt well to change.
• Coach colleagues, giving feedback and role modelling great service.
• Stay curious and seek opportunities to serve our customers, communities, and planet a little better every day.
• Must be 18 or over to apply.
• Experience in a team lead or management role in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Be a strong role model with a passion for delivering great service.
• Build long-lasting relationships to create an inclusive, supportive team environment.
• Clear communicator with a variety of methods to keep the team well informed.
