Job summary

BardWood Support Services is recruiting for a Retail Security Officer in Sherborne. You will patrol store premises, monitor entry/exit points and respond to incidents, ensuring staff and customer safety. The role involves maintaining security systems and assisting customers as needed.

Eligible candidates will hold a valid SIA license, have a 5-year work history, and be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment. Permanent transfer to our client is after 12 weeks.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid SIA license.
• 5-year checkable work/career history.
• Experience in a similar role is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Investigating disturbances and monitoring entry/exit points.
• Calling for help in emergencies and operating theft-detecting devices.

About the role

Title – Retail Security Officer

Pay Rate – £15.62

Location – Sherborne

Shift Timings – 45hours per week. shift timings will vary.

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Investigating Disturbances, as well as monitoring the entry and exit points of the retail store.
• Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Effectively dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

• SIA License.
• 5-year checkable work/career history.
• Experience in a similar role, would an advantage
• Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
• Possess the ability to work under pressure.
