Job summary

ASEL is recruiting for a Retail Security Officer in Horsham, UK. The role involves visible deterrence, responding to incidents, and completing incident reports while collaborating with local authorities. You will perform guarding duties in-store, patrol the floor, assess vulnerabilities, and liaise with management as needed.

Applicants must hold a current SIA Guarding or Door Supervisor licence. Training will be provided; hours and shift patterns are varied, and the position offers an hourly

Qualifications

• Must have a valid SIA licence to apply for this role.
• Retail security experience is an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided.
• Good communication and customer service skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling the shop floor and deterring criminal activity.
• Assess vulnerabilities and minimise risk.
• Liaising with management and local authorities as applicable.
• Manage vulnerable persons with empathy to avoid distress.
• Conduct colleague and contractor searches in line with policy.
• Digitally report incidents and use tablets/phones for daily activity planning.
• Provide detailed and legible incident reporting to assist the Client and Local Authorities.
