Job summary

Mitie is seeking a confident Retail Security Officer to protect customers and staff on the shop floor, deter theft and maintain a safe environment. You’ll engage with management, engage with CCTV, and contribute to a positive shopping experience.

You will work to deter crime while delivering exceptional service, with contracted hours and a comprehensive benefits package. This role offers steady shifts across a multi-day pattern.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA licence required.
• Full 5-year checkable employment/education history.
• Proactive, professional and customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Providing a visible, reassuring presence on the shop floor.
• Delivering outstanding customer service at all times.
• Deterring theft, anti-social behaviour and public order offences.
• Carrying out regular store patrols.
• Operating CCTV systems to reduce crime and stock loss.
• Working closely with store management teams.
• Supporting partnerships with Police and local crime networks.
• Using Body Worn CCTV to enhance safety for everyone onsite.
