Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services in the UK is seeking a Retail Security Officer to protect people and assets on the shop floor. You’ll deter theft, provide excellent customer service and collaborate with store teams to maintain a safe, welcoming environment for customers and colleagues alike.

Qualifications

• A valid SIA licence (or willingness to complete the training)
• A full 5-year checkable employment or education history
• A proactive, professional and customer-focused approach

Responsibilities

• Providing a visible, reassuring presence on the shop floor
• Delivering outstanding customer service at all times
• Deterring theft, anti-social behaviour and public order offences
• Carrying out regular store patrols
• Operating CCTV systems to reduce crime and stock loss
• Working closely with store management teams
• Supporting partnerships with Police and local crime networks
• Using Body Worn CCTV to enhance safety for everyone onsite
