Job summary

ASEL, trading as Argenbright Security Europe Limited, is seeking a Retail Security Officer to deter crime in Newcastle stores. You will patrol the shop floor, assess vulnerabilities, report incidents, and collaborate with local authorities to maintain safety and security standards.

The role requires a valid SIA licence, ability to provide detailed written and verbal accounts, and a 5-year checkable history. Training will be provided; hours and shift patterns are varied.

Qualifications

• Confident communicator able to provide detailed verbal and written accounts of incidents.
• Welcoming and patient with customers; able to handle conflicts professionally.
• Must have a valid SIA licence and right to work documents.
• 5-year checkable work or education history required.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible deterrence and respond to incidents in-store.
• Complete incident reports and liaise with management and authorities.
• Patrol shop floor, assess vulnerabilities and minimise risk.
• Conduct searches of colleagues/contractors as required.
• Report incidents digitally using tablets/phones for daily planning.
