Job summary

ASEL in Sunderland is seeking a Retail Security Officer to deter crime, patrol the shop floor, and respond to incidents. You will complete incident reports and liaise with local authorities as required.

You must hold a current SIA Guarding or Door Supervisor licence and be able to provide a 5-year history. Shift pattern is 5 days a week, with 8-hour shifts, 40 hours weekly, at £12.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• You must have a valid SIA licence to apply for this role.
• Experience in Retail Security is an advantage but training will be provided.
• Applicants must be able to provide a full 5-year checkable work history or back to school history.
• You must hold a current SIA Guarding or SIA Door Supervisor licence to apply.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the shop floor and deter criminal activity.
• Assess vulnerabilities and minimise risk.
• Liaise with management and local authorities as applicable.
• Manage vulnerable persons with empathy and professionalism.
• Complete colleague and contractor searches as required per policy.
• Digitally report incidents using tablets/phones; produce clear incident reports.
• Provide detailed and legible reports to aid the client and local authorities.
