Job summary

ASEL in Derby area is seeking a Retail Security Officer to deter crime and provide a visible security presence in stores. You will respond to incidents, produce detailed incident reports and collaborate with local authorities.

The role requires an SIA licence, a full 5-year work history, and the ability to report clearly using tablets or phones. Hourly rate £12.71–£15.00, relief shift pattern, and full training provided.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid SIA licence to apply.
• Experience in retail security is an advantage but not essential with full training provided.
• Ability to provide detailed verbal and written accounts of incidents.

Responsibilities

• Deter criminal activity and provide a visible security presence.
• Respond to incidents and complete incident reports.
• Collaborate with local authorities and review CCTV as part of investigations.
• Perform access control, gatehouse and reception duties, and assist customers.
• Conduct site patrols and assist with loss prevention measures.
• Maintain accurate and legible reporting; use tablets/phones for daily activity planning.
